Cause You're Hot Then You're Cold

Chemistry is getting more fun now. Every class now we have experiments. Getting our brains and hands bubbly (:

Today we experimented on the reactivity of metals with oxygen. My team had to deal with zinc. We set up the apparatus n got our hands dirty. It was glowing and changing colours and well practically reacting! So awesome.

Our zinc was heated a few times but it wasnt burning like teacher said it would. We thought our zinc cacat or something. But then we tried burning the potassium manganate and a beautiful glow of yellowish greenish sparkled on our zinc. Turning it yellow when hot and white when cold. Chemistry is coolio (: More experiments, more more!
